Fear of Annihilation

Fear of Annihilation examines the 2025 Gen Z–led protests in Nepal sparked by a government ban on 26 social media platforms, arguing that the movement reflected a deeper crisis of identity, exclusion, and power. Drawing on theories of youth resistance and symbolic annihilation, the book shows how fears of silencing and erasure drove the protests beyond digital rights. It also connects the 36-hour protest to devastating floods and landslides of October 4–6, 2025, linking human violence with natural disasters. Through analogies with The Mahabharata and Limbu Mundhum, the book explores justice, morality, and unresolved leadership in modern resistance.
