Nanofertilizers for Agricultural and Environmental Sustainability in Northeast India

Nano fertilizers in general improves plant nutrient uptake through mechanisms that leverage their small size, high surface area, and controlled-release properties. These fertilizers penetrate plant roots more efficiently, provide a steady supply of nutrients, and minimize losses to the environment, addressing many of the limitations associated with traditional fertilizers. While challenges such as cost, safety, and farmer training must be addressed, the potential of Nano fertilizers to transform agricultural practices is also substantial in Northeast India. As research progresses, Nano fertilizers are likely to play a key role in modernizing agriculture and supporting global food security.
