Role of Vertical Fenestration Design for Enhancing Daylighting in Office Buildings - In Composite Climate

The book presents the findings from the research intents to analyse the strategies of vertical fenestration design and its potential in improving the daylight conditions within office buildings located in hot Indian climate. Various studies across the globe have highlighted that incorporation of daylighting in office spaces have led to significant reduction in the annual energy consumption by the building because of reduced lighting loads and cooling loads. Considering the significance, the research focuses on day time operating multi-story office buildings and analyses the impact of passive design strategies on daylight performance and visual comfort of the occupants.
