Application of Z-Source Inverter for Vector Controlled Motor Drive

IM drive of 67KW is simulated for scalar and vector control, the obtained results are compared by the response of the motor under different transient conditions. Z-source network is interfaced with the vector controlled IM drive and is simulated for different voltages of the DC source and the DC link voltage is boosted with the help of simple boost control technique. Hardware for Scalar control is done on the same 67KW IM drive with the DSP processor Texas instruments TMS320F2812.Code composer studio software is used to give the command signals in which the coding is dumped in basic C++ language.
