Practical Manual on Soils and Soil Conservation

Assessment of physico-chemical properties of soil and various soil conservation measures using suitable analytical methods is the basic step towards formulating appropriate soil management decisions and precise nutrient recommendations for increasing crop production. The procedures followed during the collection, processing, storage, and analysis of the soil samples mostly determine how accurate the soil analysis and soil loss estimation. This manual, titled “Soils and Soil Conservation,” is being prepared to assist students, researchers, and laboratory technicians with the lab analysis of essential physico-chemical characteristics of soil and practices for soil conservation. The manual describes analytical principles, procedures, and necessary interpretations for effective soil testing and suitable soil management. Keeping all these factors, this practical manual is designed to per best of my knowledge for better services.
