The minimum number of attempts allowed for essential skills was also defined, to the greatest extent possible. There is enough area to input the specifics of the activities completed during the training time. The assessment scale has been provided so that the faculty can rate the students' performance at the end of the training time. Supplementary material on clinical elements such as life support measures, recent drug approvals, essential medicines, antimicrobial stewardship principles, rational prescribing, drug safety alerts, drug interactions, and so on has been provided to make medical interns achieve the desired competencies. Excellent book not only for medical interns, but also for all phases of MBBS students. Important skills to be acquired at the MBBS level are clearly defined as per CBME curriculum.

The book offers a deep dive into the subject, but sometimes lacks a clear narrative thread.
