Kanyashree Prakalpa: Impact on Education and Child Marriage of Females in West Bengal

The book has been crafted to examine the ongoing Kanyashree Prakalpa (scheme) launched by the Government of West Bengal in 2013. It mainly deals with the impact of the concerned scheme on education and child marriage of girl child to eliminate school drop-out and illegal marriage respectively. The study undergoes scientific methodology having secondary data from Kanyashree Online 5.0, Census of India (2011), and NFHS with the validation of the hypothesis by Pearson’s coefficient of Correlation. Moreover, the results disclose that the scheme has impacted positively on education and negatively on child marriage. Therefore, this book uniquely manifests the path of SDGs.
