Description
This book explores the clandestine world of the Double Cross Blood Union (Kettőskereszt Vérszövetség), a Hungarian military secret society active during the Horthy-era (1920–1944). Despite its notoriety for involvement in violent political acts, such as political assassinations, terrorism, and coup attempts, the society remains shrouded in mystery, with few surviving documents. The study delves into its possible links to the influential right-wing secret society, the Union of Etelköz (Etelközi Szövetség), a nationalist and irredentist organization that operated both legally and illegally. Drawing from memoirs and historical accounts, this book sheds light on the complex web of secrecy and power in interwar Hungary.
