This work attempts to contextualise creativity research within the historical development of Psychology. It discusses significant events, breakthroughs and profound ideas in the history of creativity research. The various models, theories and approaches to creativity are also detailed and examined. It concludes with postulating certain general meta-theoretical assumptions on creativity theories.
